The house has been cleaned, so have the children. The Marquee is up and so far no wind or rain. I bet there’s a storm during the night and I wake to discover my pop up gazebos have popped about 5 miles down the road – ha!
The furniture has been arranged, the tables and chairs are out. I’ll decorate in the morning and then nip out and collect the food. My curry and chilli are in the slow cookers and the drinks are all chilling.
I managed to buy some pretty pandora charms for the Godmothers bracelets as thank you gifts and I got our clothes sorted out too. It all seems to have come together alarmingly quickly. I believe I have covered everything, but have this feeling that I will wake in the morning and discover I’ve forgotten something vital!
I’m exhausted but delighted to have thus far pulled things together. The only cloud on the horizon now is that when I went to lock up the chickens for the night, Daisy has disappeared! Both she and Clarabelle have once again obviously discovered a way out of the run. I found Clarabelle roosting under some ivy, but Daisy was nowhere to be found. I can only hope that she is hauled up for the night somewhere safe and will appear in the morning, otherwise we may have an inconsolable toddler throughout her baby sisters christening. Argh, I don’t know who causes me the most trouble, my husband, the children or the chickens!
So I just need a dry day with no wind, relatively contented children and the runaway bird to come back and everything should turn out perfectly. Fingers crossed eh!
